Start Here: Tethys app for COSMIQ+ Owners

Tethys app is an independent Android companion app for COSMIQ and COSMIQ+ dive computers.

The project started after the original Deepblu mobile application and online services became unavailable, leaving COSMIQ+ owners without an important part of the original device experience.

Tethys app is being built to restore direct Bluetooth communication with the dive computer, dive-log download, device management and a local dive logbook. The project is focused on reliable access to dive data, straightforward export and compatibility with established dive-log platforms and services.

What Tethys app is being built to provide

• Connect to COSMIQ+ over Bluetooth
• Download and store dive logs locally
• Read and change selected dive-computer settings
• Maintain a local dive logbook
• Export dive data in portable formats
• Share exported data using Android’s built-in functionality

Current development status

Tethys app is currently under active development and is being tested with a COSMIQ+ Gen 4 running firmware 1.8.

The development build can connect to the device, download dive logs, store them locally and export dive data. Compatibility with other COSMIQ generations and firmware versions still requires testing with real hardware.

The full Tethys app has not been publicly released yet.

I am looking for COSMIQ and COSMIQ+ owners, especially people using hardware generations other than Gen 4.
